Ayumi, If you’re having trouble with the spherical amigurumi, try one of the rectangular ones like the cat or the lion to start. You can also ask around your local yarn shops to see if they have crochet shaping or amigurumi classes. OR, as you might have seen on the Lion Brand Notebook, we’re actually opening a store near Union Square later this year, so you’ll be able to stop in for lessons and such. Maybe I’ll even stop by and say hi!

Sorry for your DPNs at Germany. My hubby is very crafty, so he made me a circular needle in disguise last time I went to USA. He found those pencils at exact size of the needles, used some fishing line and rubber cement. If the customs got my circular needle, I could still work on my sweater, and maybe write a postcard or two. (;

I know exactly what Judi means. It is excellent that you did dedicate a podcast to dishcloths. I have listened to your podcast for some time now and also told alot of people about it. I’m sooooo excited you gals dedicated an episode to dishcloths. I know it sounds silly, but with my schedule (and attention span) I wouldn’t be able to finish a sweater in my lifetime; dishcloths are one of the only things I can finish and feel satisfied about making.

In fact, the “Basic Dishcloth” pattern is my favorite to knit!! I’ve must have made half a dozen of those by now without tiring of the pattern. The results are so worth it!

I wanted to ask… You guys talk about amigurumi ALLLL the time. Everytime I try, I don’t know what the hell I’m supposed to do. I get sooooo lost. Do you know how I could reach out to an expert and get tips? Because reading notes on line confuse me now.

Also, I’m an F/V train frequenter… I wish I could see you, Zontee! That would be sooo rad. We should try to meet, hahaha. I’m sure you could help me.

Really enjoyed the podcast. It sounds as though you are becoming more relaxed and comfortable. My favorite parts are when the two of you are just chatting together about knitting.
