I'm not very techmo-savvy. Is the pod cast just verbal dialog, with the visual being abstract moving shapes and colors? Or am I not doing something I should be doing. It seems like knitting instructions should show the work being done?
Thanks much!
Chris Martin

Zontee says: Hi Chris, the podcast is an audio-show. Your music-playing software is generating the shapes and colors at random, but you can turn that off if you don't like it. Please check your software's "Help" guide for more information.

ha! I'm finally home in my craft zone after a busy week and I decided to listen to the latest podcast while I dye yarn in my kitchen. Love the part of this podcast about dyeing - and how timely. Simmering on my stove right now is Lion Brand Superwash Merino in Denim. I'm using Jacquard Acid Dye in Periwinkle to over dye the yarn. I'm hoping for a darker, slightly heathered deep blue.

Oops! Forgot one of my ideas!

6. Make a single motif as a bread cover. Buy a basket and put in a really nice loaf of bread and/or a bakery gift cetrificate so the couple can get more good bread, cover with the motif bread cloth. Bottle of wine could supplement gift.

More ideas for Zontee or others who like a particular motif but do not want to make a whole afghan out of it:

1. Use a single square of the motif as the front of a pillow and do a fast, plain square for the back (or do 2 fancy motif squares for front and back).

2. Use a single largish motif to make a table mat that can be used under a centerpiece or as a diagonally placed cover on a small table. Or do a short row of motifs connected end to end as a table runner. A central mat or table runner work great when paired with a nice candle (to place on the center) and a bottle of wine.

3. Do a single intricate motif like the tree of life and frame it as art for the couple's wall. You could also add some embroidery at the bottom or top like "House of (last name) est. (month/year)".

4. A single motif could be affixed to the front of an album that the couple could use for pictures or mementos from their wedding, honeymoon, first year, etc.

5. A single largish motif could be the front of a small tote bag into which you slip a purchased gift or a gift card.

Hope these help someonw!
