I love the podcast as usual, and thank you for the answer to my prayers. A free site that I can list my products. I already checked out artfire.com and I love it and I’ll be registering with them. This will give me a great headstart in selling my crafts.
    Thanks YarnCraft.

Liz & Zontee and the Lion Brand company and staff-keep up the good work. :)

Thanks so much for mentioning my amigurumi patterns in the podcast! I just noticed that there’s a typo in your link to my ArtFire store – it should read http://www.artfire.com/users/planetjune

YarnCraft says: Hi June, thanks for pointing that out! We’ve fixed it!

I’ve been on Artfire for a year have jewelry, handmade items, cards etc. Haven’t had one sale is there something I don’t know or  am doing wrong. I would think something would have sold. We get people looking. Any tricks.

Hi kmcla67, I’d say that (a) you may want to take a look at stores that sell similar things and see if they are doing anything different in terms of pricing or shipping, (b) promote to your friends through an email or Facebook post, asking them to share your store with their friends, (c) on Etsy, something I’ve noticed is that sometimes when you “like” an item in a store, the vendor will send you a personal message with a 10% or 15% coupon to encourage you to purchase it right away.

In one of our latest episodes, we speak to Kelly Rand of Hello Craft, a trade organization for independent makers. Connecting with members of Hello Craft may be another good way to get tips and advice. Hope that helps!
