We have an interview-filled, bonus-length episode of YarnCraft this week, with topics from vintage style to artistic inspiration. First, Liz & Zontee talk about patterns that look to the past for inspiration. From lace inspired by the Victorian age to hot pants inspired by the ’60s, there’s a way to incorporate just about any beloved trend into your wardrobe.

Continuing with vintage-inspired knit- and crochet-wear, Zontee interviews bloggers Stitchy McYarnpants (of Yarnpants.com) and Caro Sheridan (of Splityarn.com), whose new book, Knitting It Old School, takes styles from sweet ’40s and ’50s tops to sci-fi-inspired clothing from the ’60s and updates them for the modern man and woman. They share tips on how to modernize and pull off your vintage duds.

Next, on the final part of our Insider Outlooks for 2011 mini-series recorded at TNNA, Zontee talks to crochet designer Robyn Chachula about what’s in-store this year for trends in yarncrafting classes. She also talks to Jess and Casey, founders of Ravelry, about the fantastic influx of new talent in the yarn world, as well as how Ravelry and the online world continues to branch out into the real world.

Finally, on Stash This: Ideas for Your Crafting Life, Liz & Zontee explore cross-craft inspiration and discover how one craft can inspire you in a completely different creative form. They also share interviews with artists showcased at last month’s Vogue Knitting Live in NYC: Ruth Marshall, Hannah Haworth, Alyssa Ettinger, and Anna Hrachovec of Mochimochiland.
