I’m really glad that you mentioned the 4 1/2 hour and 5 1/2 hour afghans. I’ve made 3 afghans on Q hooks, two 4 1/2 hour afghans, one in Vanna’s and a 2nd in Jiffy. Many years ago, Womans Day Magazine sold a kit for an afghan made with 3 strands of Homespun and a Q hook, I no longer have the pattern, but is was my first speed hook project. On my hook and needles now is a scarf made from trellis and moonlight mohair that I found in m stash and the textured treasure speed stix afghan. As you can see I LOVE these projects. They fit my busy lifestyle. What’s missing are accessories. If you don’t get gauge, you have a problem, no smaller or larger sizes. No notions are available to make the work easier; and with knitting, the needle size makes large projects a challenge. PLEASE make more products for this craft, a circ needle, row counter and stitch markers would be a great start.

Hi Dee bee, thanks for the suggestions! We’ll pass them along. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out The BagSmith or Stitch Diva, both of which, carry some great big stitch products. I think Stitch Diva has the size 50 circs!

Thanks for showing us crocheters so much love! There was lots to enjoy in this episode, especially the Chain Link interviews with Drew and Marcy. And in the Hooks and Needles section, I was tickled to hear that Zontee’s fall sweater project is the same one I’m working on — Linda Permann’s Peanut Butter Cardigan.:)

Wow, I missed this episode and am listening to it now. This is a great one. I really appreciate your honest opinions and tips for entering the profession.

Also, I now really want to go knit and weave a bunch of pillows. I’ve been loving the LB Fisherman wool / Vanna’s Glamour felted pillow patterns.
