I’m intrigued by the idea of linen stitch.  I tried Ravelry and the LB pattern finder, but nothing comes up for linen stitch. Can you recommend any patterns? Scarves and cowls are my go-to projects for winter.

Hi Dee bee, sorry for the confusion. “Linen stitch” is also sometimes called “woven stitch”, which is how it’s labeled in some patterns. Here’s a Lion Brand pattern that features it:

Here are generic directions in case you want to try just a plain scarf in it:

    Hope that helps!

I’ve been listening to this podcast for about three years and realllly enjoy it and love Lion Brand yarns.  I want to say how much I enjoy having Michelle on the podcast.  I liked Liz okay and am happy that she is able to be home with her baby but I really like Michelle!  She’s got a great sense of humor and she has a great speaking voice–very natural sounding!  Been meaning to leave a note for a long time welcoming her and expressing how much I appreciate her contribution to the podcast!!

What is the process involved in creating and testing patterns before it gets posted on the website?  How long does it take to go from an idea to the finished pattern?

Thanks for the references. I just purchased some Tweed stripes and I just may use the pattern on about.com. Will keep you posted.
