Great episode! I agree with Mary Beth Temple about the tempering of the newer novelty yarns. It reminded me of one of my favorite Lion Brand novelty yarns that is now discontinued, Sasha. It’s a high quality wool tape yarn that knits up to look like Persian Lamb, and how cool is that!? I wish I had bought more while I had the chance. The explanation about why some yarns are discontinued leads me to believe that this yarn probably wasn’t one of the more commercially successful yarns. It goes to show you, if you see something unique that you like, BUY IT!

Is there any chance you will market your beautiful range of yarns over here in the UK?  I order from your website, but shipping costs make it extremely expensive.

Hi Gillian, we do work with stockists in the UK. Try Woolly Madly Deeply online or ask your local stockist if they import Lion Brand yarns: http://www.woollymadlydeeply.com/index.php/lion-brand-yarns

    Hope that helps!
